101 had a sale (again lol) so I decided to give them some support, they are putting out there a lots of good stuff lately.

Hmv had a promotion for the Premium Collection 2 for £15 bought both Dracula's but one was out of stock, so waiting on that one.

Justin101 14th January 2021 01:30 PM

I like those 70's Draculas, I know they're not as popular as the 50s/60s ones but the modern setting works for me :)

Third time I've bought this on blu but the original artwork made it essential for the price.

I nicked into Sainsbury’s last night after seeing your post. They had robocop but no American Werewolf, which is what I was after.

I’ve had a couple of lucky Arrow finds in Sainsbury’s - the ‘Hellraiser’ trilogy, and the ‘Withnail and I’ double with ‘How to get ahead in advertising’. Always worth a wee nosey down the media aisle [emoji106] [emoji106]

I watched that Brides of Dracula disc on Saturday night. It has a decent doc on the making of the film on it.

I need to write a proper review at some stage for Brides. Great film, great performance from Cushing, shit vampire though.

I've been in to my local Sainsbury's just now too, looking for American Werewolf. Even though i can't play it yet the Arrow blu for a fiver would be an investment. No luck. They didn't stock it, it's not like there was an empty shelf space for it.

Didn't bother with Robocop. It's not really a favourite of mine to be honest.

Thanks for the head up on the documentary will check it out, David Peel's performance is a bit wooden but decent plot is good and Cushing is always outstanding

I've never seen it, but the description mentions Jess Franco's regular cast members and a German Krimi plot so I thought I'd give it a go :D

I thought Rabid was absolutely hilarious. But then I found out it was supposed to be scary.

Well, you know that's just my opinion. I've read quite a few reviews that loved it. I thought it was atrocious. The acting is, well, there isn't any. It looks like a TV movie. Mackenzie Gray is off the charts terrible. I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of the Soska's. Their first 2 were OK. American Mary gets a bit too much praise but it wasn't terrible. The last 3 I thought were utter rubbish. I can see why Rabid was £3 in Asda a month after it came out.

See No Evil 2 is a straight forward slasher set in a morgue. Katharine Isabelle has a lot of fun with a corpse.

Vendetta, the one they did with Dean Cain and The Big Show is on horror channel on Wednesday morning at 12.40am. I didn't like that either but, you know.
