A couple of recent buys (some I bought cheap from the carboot out of curiosity so I'm aware of their crapness):

Ahhh Street Fighter such a missed opportunity it had such potential. Sadly not even Van Damme could save it.

Creatures from the abyss is a definate must watch..

Its totally awful and barmy but in a good way. Features one piece of dialoug that had me in stiches.

"doctor how long have you been f*****g fish?!"

"their old enough!"

A group of irritating teens get stranded at sea through their own stupidity and end up on an adrift science vessel where some genuinely weird $%$t has been going on. Again, a bad film certainly but a fun one as well.

The Vanishing (the original, not the pisspoor remake) is a superb film and one of the few which leaves me genuinely unsettled.

A great film and like you say, the remake is such a woefully misguided cop out its hard to believe both were directed by the same guy.

Must see the original again soon, not seen it in 20 years. Which is the best release to go for?

Second thing I picked up is Donnie Brasco. I film I already own, However this particular copy happens to be an Australian JB HI FI exclusive. It come's in a nice thick slide case which is covered in a material and has a cool image designed by an artist by the name of Noma Bar. It's not numbered but there are only 2000 copies available, So it's nice to have this copy. The DVD inside the slide case is just the ordinary Extended Edition copy of the film with a few special features.

(Sorry the picture is so small, It's the only one I could find on the net already)

A few weeks ago I went and purchased this copy of Donnie Brasco which is a specially designed limited edition exclusive to JB Hi-Fi Australia.

I have since discovered there are more of these limited editions designed by artist Noma Barr. I purchased two this week which are Hellboy and Rambo;

Probably the Criterion Collection DVD as it has better AV quality than any R2 release. I watched it a couple of weeks ago (after a long gap since my previous viewing) and really want to see it again while it's fresh in my mind.
