A few weeks ago I went and purchased this copy of Donnie Brasco which is a specially designed limited edition exclusive to JB Hi-Fi Australia.

I have since discovered there are more of these limited editions designed by artist Noma Barr. I purchased two this week which are Hellboy and Rambo;

Quite excited about these :woot:

I really like those Australian DVDs with the simple, but distinctive artwork. They would probably look great as posters all with the DVDs together on this shelf.

Unfortunately, every one of those covers is ruined by the ratings logo.

If anyone is interested.

Sainsbury's dvd of Warhorse comes with the soundtrack and an alternate artwork. (Which i prefer).

At £9.99 its cheaper than online stores as well.

If you buy from Asda you get a 2nd disc of special features

Probably the Criterion Collection DVD as it has better AV quality than any R2 release. I watched it a couple of weeks ago (after a long gap since my previous viewing) and really want to see it again while it's fresh in my mind.

Thanks, mate :)

A great film and like you say, the remake is such a woefully misguided cop out its hard to believe both were directed by the same guy.

Must see the original again soon, not seen it in 20 years. Which is the best release to go for?

R1 Criterion. For sure. Superb presentation of one of my favourite films. A precious disk to me!

Edit: Er...as Nos said...
