Got my copy of Castle Freak this morning. Another nice release from 88 Films. It'll be interesting to see how this fares in widescreen.

Got my copy too.I had to reverse the cover as the original art is miles better than the one it had on display.

It certainly is. I'm looking forward to their next release in a couple of weeks Meridian.

Great film and I've yet to see the Black & White version, I'm sure it'll be better cos it should help cover up the shockingly bad cgi effects

I don't think the CGI was that bad – far from it actually!

You should really watch the black and white version as it has a very different feel to it and is more like a film from the 1950s. In his introduction, Frank Darabont says the black and white version is his preferred one and, if the term could be applied, would be the directors cut.

i was reading that today, i watched it in coour but cant really remember it but as its a monster movie i think it will be much better suited in black and white.

the director said he wanted to release it in B/W but the studios wouldnt let him

I'm not familiar with that particular film.So far, I've got 88 Films' DVDs of Castle Freak and Tourist Trap.I'm looking forward to Puppet Master, Subspecies and Intruder - I take it this is the Scott Spiegel directed supermarket slasher?

I didn't know 88 Films were releasing this. I wouldn't have bought the Hardgore release last week if i'd known.

Is it likely to be a superior release to the Hardgore version do you know?
