Cult Labs - What Have You Bought Recently?

Ordered the decent R1 release of Horror Hotel (or City of the Dead) last night after a recommendation on Letterboxd. Sounds amazing, can't believe I'd never come across it before...!

Is it the VCI release or the uk redemption one? They both have the same extras I think. I own the vci release with the christopher lee commentary, and it is indeed supurb. With the great work vci did on the dark night of the scarecrow blu-ray and the forthcoming bird with the crystal plumage hopefully this is another one they might consider, I think the excellent b&w photography would look excellent in HD.

I've just paid a bit more than you did (£8.25 with postage), but the US VCI release, which has the same features as the UK Redemption disc but an anamorphic picture instead of a letterboxed one is definitely the one to buy.

I've just discovered The Blockhouse starring Peter Sellers and I see there're so many different UK releases ,can anyone help?

City Of The Dead is an amazing film, and a good oportunity to see a young Christopher Lee. In fact, that's where my avatar is taken from.

Though they wont be out for 2 and a half months, I just pre-ordered the upcoming Blue Undergroung Midnight Movies triple sets, to take advantage of Axel's free shipping. I have a few already, but at 12€ each it's still a good price, I think.

just had a quick look on amazon uk
2xdvds of this film on the SlamDunk and Cornerstone labels
can't find any other releases in the UK
there is an Aussie dvd on the Umbrella label
but a UK would be easier and cheaper for you.....
