Dune was his only "hired hand" film. personally i don't consider it "canon" (like Scott Walker's awful 70s records ahem). His films follow dream logic, which is a slight cop out yes, but for fans of Cinema, they are the bees knees.

no The Straight Story fans then? imo his most "Lynchian" film yet, but then i'm an awkward bugger ;);)

That Universal Blues Brothers cover is part of their AUGMENTED REALITY series (they all look the same with a character cutout against that blue background and a movie quote). You download some app on yer magic phone, hold it up to the cover, and it comes to life, which I'm sure is entertaining for all of 3 seconds :doh: . . .
