Can anyone tell if the German BD of RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3 is worth getting?

I had it. It's the unrated version. It was no better than the R-Rated US dvd. I believe it's actually an upscale.

That Universal Blues Brothers cover is part of their AUGMENTED REALITY series (they all look the same with a character cutout against that blue background and a movie quote). You download some app on yer magic phone, hold it up to the cover, and it comes to life, which I'm sure is entertaining for all of 3 seconds  . . .

Probably a lot more entertaining than the actual artwork. Someone at Universal needs a slap for those covers!

They sure are to be honest its only recently that i wanted Casablanca i was convinced i would not like it but a mate of mine told me to give it a watch i just loved it right away. Treasure of the Sierra Madre is one of my fav films of all time i may have mentioned that once or twice before . The Maltese Falcon is a fantastic film. I have not seen High Sierra before really looking forward to watching it tonight.

This one for The Blues Brothers is fine. Can't see why it would cause any consternation!

They're all bland.

It's that annoying thing of making all the covers (to vastly different films) look like part of a set just because they belong the same studio. Its like Sony and those nasty white and gold covers for Taxi Driver, Close Encounters, Bridge on the River Kwai, Stand By Me and the like...

Gojirosan 25th May 2012 03:06 PM

Well this is no blander than the original artwork for The Blues Brothers, which was nothing special. In fact, I'd say it was an improvement. Nice and colourful. I'd go with "minimal" rather than "bland".

I like minimal.

Anyhow, doesn't matter, so long as the HD Landis lols are on form!

Hmmmm I have to disagree. Iconic Blues Brothers artwork or that blue monstrosity. No contest. :)
