I've got the fixed version and watched my friends 1st release. Its much better (though opening scene and audio synch aside I didn't see much else wrong)

Even though I have no means of playing them, I bought (and received today) Betamax tapes of The Evil Dead and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (pre-cert) – isn't that the definition of an obsessive collector?!

I watched Chronicle and Return of the Living Dead over the last couple of days, Chronicle was a little bit of a let down, I thought it started great up until the 'final reel' as it were when it went a bit rubbish IMO. ROTLD was as amazing as I've remembered in the past when I had a VHS in a red box (forget which company brought it out), Picture and sound both spot on, listened to the original mono, will try the 5.1 next time!

In on my own tonight so going to try and watch both Dune and 'More Brains' if I can fit it all in!
