For me it's part fairy tale, part illusion and maybe a bit like Jaccob's Ladder at the end, most of the people in the flm are just as messed up as Donnie but manage to hide it, and as a rabbit's involved, Alice's wonderland is in there to, the sci-fi part of the story just allows the threads to come together, after all... 'It's a mad world' after all, well that's how I see the film anyway.

I completely disagree. I could think of at least a hundred films I find far, far, far worse. I think it's very enjoyable.
