The Russ Meyer collection box set!

Damn you for making this post!

Yesterday, at midnight, they had two copies of this set for £16.75, but I was too 'tired and emotional' - i.e drunk - to order it.

Bad things seem to happen to me when I order things from Amazon or Arrow films when the combination of alcohol and credit card are involved!!!

Today, the price has gone up to £20.26. Still cheap I admit, but it has definately increased

Curse those of you who purchased this between midnight and time of writing!!!!!!!!!!!

Isolated score, trailer, Tom Savini commentary. Hardly barebones. It's selling so well because some people would rather pay £24 (that's what it costs all in for us in the UK), than the silly money people will be trying to sell it for on ebay.

just tried to order the damnned thing. $30 + $7 postage, then when I get to the payment they want me to add ANOTHER $15 POSTAGE or if the disc gets lost in the postal system then I get no replacement. all total to stand a chance of getting NOTLD on blu-ray its nearer $52! so thats £32 for the movie..

I'll have to seriously check my finances before ordering this and by that time it will probably sell out.

This pretty much sums up my whole problem with TT. If you don't have a huge disposable income, or the discs released too far away from payday working stiffs like me may as well forget about owning the discs as all the speculators buy multiple copies to stick on ebay.

I had no problems with the standard shipping on Fright Night or anything else I've ordered from Screenarchives. So £24 for it is very reasonable. I know many people won't even spend £10 on a brand new dvd, but as I've said many times, dvds in this country used to be £20 with scene selection as extras, so £24 for a limited edition BD from the states (with extras), isn't bad at all......you bunch of misers :tongue1:  :behindsofa:

Except if the disc goes missing then i've spent £24 with no comeback as TT state they will not replace the disc. You may have had no problems but i've enough experience of stuff going walkabouts in the mail system to want some sort of guarentee that i'm going to get a replacement or my money back if it goes missing. An extra £15 dollars ON TOP of the $7 postage is WAY too much for one disc..... as a zombie fan NOTLD is the first TT disc to tempt me, but I don't fancy ordering at the costs their charging.

Ah well, just need to wait to see if it ever gets a release somewhere else.

You can't just dip your toe in the water, you have to jump in with both feet!

And you'll get stung by Customs and Royal Mail too. So add another £8 - £9 on top of that as well.
