Interestingly, there's a nice piece on the restoration of the movie. One of the guys interviewed basically said he wanted the viewers to think that they ( the restoration team ) were "never there" - ie restoring it to its original state without interfering in the presentation. And they have done a beautiful job. Hammer, take note.
Dracula is probably the most important reason why I would pick this up.
Curious about the restoration (especially the audio) though.
The last restoration was very bright looking but had (most of) the original audio.
I always liked the hiss and pops on Dracula's audio as it made the film more moody imho.

Edit:think I'll maybe be picking this up...still have my doubts about the audio but it sounds the restoration was very good.
Also noticed the slight zooming of the previous edition is gone.

Mine still hasn't appeared and I just hope it's a little late getting it rather than being lost in the mail, putting me in the same situation as Rik.

I remember An American Werewolf in London being one of the first DVDs I ever bought. I also remember being underage and asking a guy ASDA to get them for me! I was like sneaking into a pub except with DVD's (also I didn't start sneaking into pubs until AFTER I turned 18 and I still get id'd to this day )

I'm pleased to get the US version of THE INNKEEPERS, I can't abide the UK artwork!

Nice. I really fancy going through the Elm Street films again so could do with picking up that set at some point.

Dracula Blu-ray - Bela Lugosi
This new restoration has definitely toned down the brightness ( as illustrated in the documentary ). It looks superb.

By the way, the Spanish Dracula has also been similarly restored.
