Mind you, I have to save some cash and slow down on buying blu-rays for a bit first. Still have a big pile to get through, with more on their way.

If you dont want anything too fancy you can pick up a 42LM620T for around £550.

If I'm upgrading, I want to do it right! Ideally a smart TV with wi-fi too.
Christmas soon, maybe I'll treat myself.

The LM620T is smart but no wifi.
Next model up is LM640T which is same exp has wifi and local dimming.

That's the one I was looking at - £800 though, yikes!

I feel like we're getting terribly off topic here. So... blu-rays. I watch Cockneys vs Zombies last night, it was a damn good laugh.

I thank (insert deity of choice) that I backed out of ordering this one, the cost of postage is what swung it.

That said i'm toying with the notion of forking out for the most dangerous game which is getting close to as expensive!

I hate the local dimming. I was watching The World Is Not Enough on BD earlier. And noticed the screen slightly dimming and then going back up as it cut between 2 people having a conversation. It was very slight, but enough to bug me, so I've turned it off.

But too keep the thread slightly on track, TWINE looked great on BD. A lot better than the dnr mess that is Goldeneye. Now, on with Die Another Day. :)

Battle Los Angeles was rubbish.

Lucky me so!
