Hope they put it out in another steely! Count me in!

Hopefully KWAIDAN, VAMPYRE and NOSFERATU are not far behind!

Yeah ONIBABA is coming as a Q1 2013 release but not as a steely unfortunately... Would love to see all 3 of your suggestions released sometime soon

Onibaba Blu-ray (United Kingdom)

And they tweeted: "We'll announce March/April releases in early December, it's looking like. Also the way it's looking: 8 films (features) in total." Looking forward to that tweet!!

I'm very jealous, I have to rely on myself to get things like this. No guy has ever done anything like this apart from one boyfriend bought me the Hammer collection, I had already broken up with him before I received it and wasn't aware he had bought it, in the previous years of our relationship he never bought anything for my collection, in fact I ended up selling stuff so we could move in together

Dear god I spoke too soon!

Someone has turned it into a cheesy looking live action movie. At a 15 cert I wouldn't count on this being anywhere near as disturbing as the book or the anime!#

*********************EDIT*******************8

Just checked youtube and it IS the anime with lousy cover art.....

I JUST BOUGHT IT!!!!

It's seriously f*****g good! REALLY disturbing!

HUUUUUGE Junji Ito fan, read just about all his stuff, but Havnt seen any of the movies. GYO looks pretty ordinary, and if they even attempt the manga ending of Uzumaki, they eternally have my respect. Read his short stories, they're fantastic.

Also if you love horror manga, check out I AM A HERO. It's essentially 28 Days/Weeks Later with the second saga being like the original Dawn Of The Dead. If you can get past the slow first volume, it's AMAZING.

BTW, is there a horror manga thread on here?

Funny, they're the 2 I would recommend only if you're a fan of his work and read everything else.

I'd personally recommend Uzumaki and Mimi No Kaidan, and once your used to his style (and disturbed mind) read his better short stories in Junji Ito Kyoufu, which is essentially Museum Of Terror, but with all his better stories and all the stuff which never got an official release in English. Also I'd personally skip Tomie and the Souichi stories, as im not a fan.

Finally caved in and got Arrow's Crystal Plumage Blu from Zavvi. I'm willing to put up with the Storaro nonsense for £8.95 . . .

obviously! I have never dated someone that collects like I do. In fact the only other person I've been friends with that has bought as much or been in similar films has been another female.

I don't know if two collectors is a good thing, on one hand you would save money but I bet you would just end up buying more if you have someone there to encourage you....

Didn't want to buy anything else this month seeing as it's my eldest son's 9th birthday on the 24th, but after seeing on Facebook that this is sold out, I didn't want to risk not getting a copy, and it was only £6 from Amazon
