| the cannibal stuff is worth a look, Ferox is pure trash but 'enjoyable' in its own way, Holocaust is probably the only real classic but moutain of the cannibal god is certainly fun. Man from deep river and eaten alive are watchable. The main problem with them is the animal cruelty.
As for NIGHTMARE CITY, well its starts off the mayhem straight from the get go and never really eases the breaks at any point so its pretty much impossible to get bored by the movie even when it (often) gets REALLY silly.
You've probably seen them already but I REALLY like zombie creeping flesh (aka hell of the living dead) and Zombie 3 is much maligned but worth a look, the shriek show release is actually pretty good as well. If your actually looking for something classy the LIVING DEAD AT THE MANCHESTER MOURGE (let sleeping corpses lie) and CEMETARY MAN are excellent as well.
Also bruno mattei kept making zombie movies for a while, there quite difficult to obtain (legally) and very daft but also worth a watch so long as you dont expect too much from them. |
