The battle of Dol Guldor in the second film should spice things up. Remember, people didn't like the adventure feel to the first LOTR movie but accepted it's need to be such when the action kicked in in the sequels.

Seen some screenshots, and it's pretty bad! It does look a slight step above the UK DVD but I'm guessing that's just due to the higher resolution.
Regardless, it's uncut and has quite a few special features so had to add it to my Miike collection.

I partly agree, but when you're 90 minutes into a film and the dwarves have ONLY just left the shire you know you're on to a loser

I felt the start dragged on way too much in Bilbos house i hope if we see an extened version they wont extend on those scenes.
