Have you seen any of Coffin Joe's any other films? This was the first of his I watched and thought it was interesting and nasty enough to make me check out his earlier stuff. It's strange, but a fascinating experience.

What?? What??
Hang on a min, mate!! I haven't watched it since video days and never got around to picking it up on dvd. I never heard of a difference and it is on my to buy list at the mo' after Southern Comfort came out on Blu. What's the craic? And which version is on blu ray? (I guess the re-vamped one!)

Any info you have, I thank you in advance.

Oh christ, right the "revamp" states "Seven new scenes!", these are merely linking shots ala a comic strip/fumetti etc, nothing is taken away, but it does seem out of place the first time you see them. No released version has the prologue which emphasises the debt the film has to The Iliad (shown once on ITV I believe though??) I do not know what version is on the Blu, though tis a safe bet it will be the new one. hope this helps/hasn't ruined your day.:o
