There's some footage missing yes.
Of course nothing really spectacular but it's a bit annoying.

Do I think they'll get it? No, not with a starting bid of £799! It's not even the poster for the theatrical release.

I believe it had a limited theatrical release with an X certificate in the UK and certainly played at some film festivals before being released on video and being labelled as a "video nasty".

You are right.
"It was released on Video the same day it was at the Cinemas. From what I remember a lot of Cinemas wouldn't show it as it was coming out on Tape at the same time, so it had quite a limited run on the circuits...Hence the Quad is Very scarce."

But have a read here.

Evil Dead Quad, and Video poster difference....
