You can just remove Norton I guess.
I personally only use Microsoft Security Essentials and the standard firewall.
And Mallwarebytes just in case.
I use microsoft essentials normally. I also use AVG.

There was a 'crackling sound' from the TV (not the PC) and then the sound went off aside from the odd bit of 'crackiling and hissing' When i moved the HDMI cable the sound would come back on. I assumed something had come loose inside. Fortunately 95% of my stuff is stored on external hard drives, its mainly having to remember old passwords, re-install drivers for my PC and a whole EXCEL report on RPG books i've been selling on comission.

No Contest is a pretty enjoyable Die Hard style action thriller. Shannon stays clothed throughout.
Ah bugger! Just saw that there's a No Contest 2, released on dvd as Face The Evil. Guess I'll need to get this too!

Removing the card, cleaning the contacts and re-inserting it could maybe help?
The weight of the hdmi cable sometimes cause strain on the ports/card as well.

So they did install a new card (same one?)?

I don't know why they restored the pc to factory settings though?

Luckily you still had 95% of your files.

This came today.

looking forward to it. The only one i own is Revenge of Frankenstein. Not even seen the others. I'm intrigued by Brotherhood of Satan the most, even though no one really seems to rate it.

I have no idea if they actually put in a new card. its the same model as the old one. Not being very tech savvy i'm a bit hesitant to start taking stuff out of my machine to clean it but i'm betting your diagnosis is correct..

I think its just pcworld not being very good with PC's. I still remember one of the in store knowhow guys informing me HDMI cables don't carry sound and I should buy some speakers!!!

I'm never using them again.

Not been watching many films yet... got HELLSTROM chronicles and Fanex files SAMUEL Z ARKOFF to watch...turned up this morning.

Still in SHIELD marathon mode. Up to season 3. Still a cracking show!

Did manage to sneak in a viewing of the legendary MAN TO MAN WITH DEAN LEARNER after discovering a friend who hadn't seen it but liked DARK PLACE.
