Still in SHIELD marathon mode. Up to season 3. Still a cracking show!

Did manage to sneak in a viewing of the legendary MAN TO MAN WITH DEAN LEARNER after discovering a friend who hadn't seen it but liked DARK PLACE.
The Shield is excellent throughout. Plot points from the first series are resolved in the final run, so stick with it.

My post was meant slightly in jest as I'd forgotten you said how much you paid for that DVD!

I think its just pcworld not being very good with PC's. I still remember one of the in store knowhow guys informing me HDMI cables don't carry sound and I should buy some speakers!!!

I'm never using them again.
Lol HDMI carries sound but DVI normally (seems there are a few exceptions with newer graphics cards) doesn't carry sound, they certainly know their stuff.

You have a desktop tower right?
Because it's a totally different thing with laptops.

You're using a hdmi port on the computer to hdmi in or are you using dvi port and audio ports to hdmi in?

Or something else?

Btw been thinking and its possible that your graphics card (if it has a hdmi port) is connected via a little cable to a sound source (card or on board),could be an idea to check that connection as well.

Note that not all hdmi graphics cards will have the connection.
