At Collectormania today, the stalls were selling lots of US blu-rays and Euro dvds, from Synapse, Scream Factory, Vinegar Syndrome, AWE, Camera Obscura, and some hardboxes. Lots to choose from. But as funds were limited, I only bought one disc, the Synapse blu-ray of Intruder.

I'll have another look around there tomorrow see what's happenin. Cheers.

It has been a while since I posted my last purchases, so it is time show them to you and maybe inspire some people here on this forum. Not so much horror this time, but considering the broad taste here that should be okay. (I made this screenshot using letterboxd.com and they are not the actual releases I've bought.
1. Black Narcissus (Powell, Pressburger, Criterion) haven't seen it yet, but I love The red shoes. So this is a "educated blind buy" I guess.
2. Solaris (Tarkovsky, Criterion) also haven't seen it, but wanting to for a long time.
3. Tokyo Story (Ozu, BFI) This is supposed to be one of the best films of all time. I am not convinced, but somehow I think about it a lot after seeing it. Time for a rewatch.
4. Osaka elegy (Mizoguchi, BFI) A bit boring, but nice somehow
5. Sisters of the Gion (Mizoguchi, BFI) better than the aforementioned, a sad story story really
6. The last story of the last Chrysanthemums (Mizoguchi, BFI) on the to watch pile
7. Utamaro and his five women (Mizoguchi, BFI) on the to watch pile
8. Wild Strawberries (Bergman, Criterion) An upgrade from my Tartan DVD. One of my favourite Bergman films.
9. Cleopatra (Cecil B.Demille, Eureka steelbook) Early epic film. You need to see this. Claudette Colbert is very sexy. Oh, and the film is nice too.
10. Double Indemnity (Billy Wilder, Eureka steelbook) Perfect film noir!
11. The killing of a Chinese Bookie (Cassavetes, BFI) Ben Gazzara, Ben Gazzara, Ben Gazzara, Ben Gazzara, Ben Gazzara. In my top 10 of all films after watching this for the first time. I should check out more Cassavete now.
12. Lifeboat (Hitchcock, Eureka steelbook) Very good how Hitchcock mixes political issues, suspense and humour. Great film.
13. The lost weekend (Billy Wilder, Eureka steelbook) Another masterpiece by Billy. Confronting is the word maybe...
14. The passion of Joan of Arc (Dreyer, Eureka steelbook) Art. But real art like Rembrandt. 10/10
15. Repo man (Cox, Eureka steelbook) 80's all over. Amazing film, very nice. Liked it very much.
16. and now for something different: Salo (Pasolini, BFI) Still don't know what to think of it. But is not as bad as most people think it is. It is just different and divides opinions. That in itself indicates "something".

Pardon my English!
