Had no luck with VHS at car boot lately but I did pick up a few DVDs... Ginger Snaps - about time I added this to my collection, great film. Vinyan Lost Souls - been interested in checking this one for a while. American Gothic - it was still sealed! Another I've wanted to add to the collection for a while. Great film, and Fanny is scary as hell! Seven Swords - Tsui Harks take on the Seven Samurai formula. Nice 2 disc edition from Hong Kong legends. Control - Ian Curtis biopic, sounds great. Star Trek Generations Star Trek Insurrection Star Trek First Contact Star Trek Nemesis - the 4 TNG movies for £3, pretty happy with that as I've been making my way through the series lately and almost finished Season 2. |

uploadfromtaptalk1377523910969.jpg Picked these up in the HMV clearance this morning. Not a great selection left but it was worth a look. There were a few more Chaplin blus there but as I've never actually seen a Charlie Chaplin film before I decided to just get the one for now. For anyone interested though HMV are selling the new Time Bandits and House of Usher steelbooks instore for £14.99 each or £9.99 for the regular editions which is the cheapest I've seen them. |

No matter how many times I see that Nosferatu artwork , it really puts the hook in me. Utterly strange and fantastic...

Yep, this is better known as Witchcraft Through The Ages, and is a very weird but wonderful Danish film from the 20's, a sort of investigation into witchcraft and folk lore. Antony Balch of Horror Hospital fame re-edited the movie in '68-ish and added a narration by William Burroughs (where it became Witchcraft Through The Ages). It's a real one-off oddity, and it demands a certain mood for viewing but fascinating stuff nonetheless, and some strong imagery as well for a Silent... Does the Tartan DVD contain the two versions ?
