I've just taken a walk to the Post Office sortin' place 'ere in Portsmouth t' pick up an undelivered package from Amazon: a new harness and pro-biotic powder for Leo (stops 'im squirtin' out the rear, firm stools are always easier to clean up:shocked:) and "The Magic Christian" (1969) for me!

I 'aven't seen this film for about thirty years so I am lookin' forward t' revisitin' it!

"Bizarre" is about right. Guy Grand (Peter Sellers), the world's richest man, adopts a homeless hippy and the two of them embark on a spree to get rid of money. The film examines status and greed through comedy and is, in my opinion, an under-rated and under-watched classic of British comedy cinema. It is certainly streets better than the plethora of TV sit-com adaptations that the British film industry insisted in churning out at the time!

Been getting a lot of shifts at work as of recent, so decided to treat myself for the first time in a while

Steelbooks from Zavvi:
The Beyond
Demons
Casino (£8!!)
Evil Dead (2013, don't care, loved it)
Evil Dead 2
Wreck It Ralph (December, but I adore this movie and am not missing this steelbook)

Ashamed to say 3 are double dips, but well worth it!

Too much information!

My Fall of the House of Usher Steelbook hasn't arrived (probably due to the bank holiday), but Amazon have shipped the Time Bandits Steelbook so hopefully both will arrive on or by the weekend.

I thought it fairly forgettable apart from Raquel as the priestess of the whip.
