Ooooh very nice indeed BE! The artwork looks great, especially the latter.

Hellraiser is astonishing on BD, it's a real revelation. You'll see stuff you never even knew was there. One of the very best BDs I have seen so far.

I just ordered the UK BDs of Deep Blue Sea and Friday the 13th Part 2 in Play's 2 for £18 offer.

Also watched these recently on BD:

The Toolbox Murders (1977) - Picked this up on Blu-ray as it's a guilty pleasure of mine - because I do know it's really a rather bad film! LOL!

When a masked intruder brings his toolbox to an apartment block, you just know those tools are going to cause some damage! And they do! Nailguns, clawhammers, drills - whatever the job, he's got the tool. The police investigate but draw a blank and when a young girl is kidnapped it's left to her brother to find her.

The killings are fairly nasty and the acting is so-so, except for a suitably manic Cameron Mitchell who steals the show, but I just can't help liking this one. It's bad, it's fairly inept, but it's also great fun for the most part, except for a very slow middle act. I like it anyway.

As for the Blu-ray, it looks stunning, better than I would have ever thought it could look. Top class job from Blue Underground.

The Prowler (1981) - Another one I had to have on Blu-ray and again it's not a very good film, but I like it all the same.

A prowler is in town and he's killing all the teenagers (no bad thing in my book, but there ya go) and it's up to the deputy sheriff to catch the killer.

It's a pretty bad film if you analyse it too closely, but Savini's FX are probably some of the best of his career and it's the sheer brutality and sadism of the killings that really set this one apart - without them the film would be a total non-starter.

Still, for what it is, I rather enjoyed it! Again!

Again, another cracking transfer courtesy of Blue Underground, this is far better than their previous DVD.

They are some absolutely mad films but absolutely superb viewing. Shintaro Katsu is a legend of exploitation cinema. The scenes in which he 'prepares' his penis are absolutely hilarious and slightly eye watering at the same time!
