Agreed.

I'd rank them: Cat's Eye > Maximum Overdrive > Silver Bullet

All three are very entertaining, though.

I agree with the order as well.

Must be something in the water.

Hmmm... yes, it's very odd.

I'm sure normality will be resumed at some point. Perhaps at Christmas, when you maybe end up hating The Innocents and loving Livid

It had better not take that long.

Unfortunately it is region A locked.
I know people always say get a region free blu player and if you look about you will come across one sooner or later not too expensive. I managed to pick up a new Maidstone (that well known make!!) for 60 odd quid and whilst not the best player you've ever seen will last until I can fork out for a decent one.
Keep your eyes open for things like this,
Toshiba BDX1100 Blu-ray Player Multi Region Regions A B & C/ Region Free DVD 0022265004135 | eBay

or

Multi Zone Code Region Free 2D/3D Blu Ray Player Zone A B C 1 2 3 4 5 6 VCD/DVD 837654913468 | eBay

There are also various firmware disc to tuen your player region free but these have to match exactly to whatever player you already own. IE Panasonic, Toshiba, Sony, etc. Hope some of this helps.

Blair Witch on Blu?

Doesn't this kind of defeat the whole out in the woods filming on home video camera experience.?

I didn't give it a second look personally, but I saw someone who posted a picture of the cover recently, and it mentioned several alternate endings exclusive to the BD, so I'm quite tempted to pick it up myself now, for curiosities sake. After all, the ending to The Blair Witch Project was hugely divisive, but also very much made the movie. It would be interesting to see what could have been. It seems cheap at various places too.
