Good days ahead :)

Back in Madrid for another work meeting so no films for a couple of days (and as my proxy settings don't seem to be working no U.K. telly either). I managed to sneak out of the office over luck and pay a visit to FNC which yielded Animals on DVD. This is a Spanish oddity which features Martin Freeman in a supporting role as a school teacher in an international school and a talking teddy bear. It somehow has a Donnie Darko vibe but has some surprising things to say about growing up and being, lets say, different from other teenagers. I also picked up Kidnapped which is a completely different kind of film, where as the former is sensitive and intelligent, Kidnapped is a brute of a film. Often difficult to watch this is home invasion meets torture porn. Unfortunately Painless (Insensibles) turns out, like the German blu-ray, to be sans Ingles subtitles (boo). Will this ever be released in an English friendly form?

If time permits I may return tomorrow - I still need to find a copy of the Last Circus - before heading home on Wednesday.

Just in case anyone fancies a chart dvd.

Asda are doing 3 for £20 on their top 20 dvd's.

I picked up 2 Guns, Red 2 and Alan Partridge Alpha Papa. They also had Man of Steel, Star Trek, Pacific Rim, Iron Man 3, Only God Forgives, The Worlds End etc.

I finally got my shit together and somehow managed to fix my Zavvi order after the hassle of working out what to do with the original order, and then getting my voucher code back that they used up on the first cancelled order.

As a result, I now have heading my way:
Halloween 35th Anniversary Steelbook
Tenebrae Steelbook
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Steelbook

Saw KIDNAPPED at a Grimm up north screening, last year I think.(possibly the year before)

Its very well made but a genuinely nasty piece of work at the same time.

No, I just ordered it sorry.

And it said it'd be shipping seperatly to the other two, so I guess not.
