I ordered The Hunt and The Last American Virgin from the Arrow Video website yesterday – the former is a modern-day masterpiece; the latter isn't!

o.k. So I lied. A friend mentioned that my local dealer had put Big Ass Spider on the shelf early, so I knocked off from work early to buy it and Cold Blooded.

Poop. There was only one academy title on sale I wanted. Never mind, still picked up some bargains.

Arrow's new Tenebrae steelbook arrived this morning. Had a quick look at the transfer. MUCH improved over the old one. And the first of my 2 Sinbad BD's from Twilight Time showed up as well.

Great to hear it's an improvement. Mine arrived today too, will be doing it justice later when I can give it my undivided attention

Postal service on active duty today 'cause it's the last weekend before christmas and as a result I received one package. The Brain starring David Gale arrived on Dvd only moments ago. Happy out

Given I only ordered Thursday evening I'm mighty impressed.

And this was inside TCM2.

Something to watch over the Christmas period.

One of my most anticipated pre-orders arrived today from Amazon Japan. At a cost of around £75 it certainly wasn't cheap but being that it's Dawn of the Dead with brand new transfers across all 3 cuts I had to consider getting it for all of about 5 seconds.

Extras are limited to a wealth of trailers for the film form all different territories and a booklet plus a handful of postcards but the purchase was worthwhile for the new prints which look far better than any previous releases.
