It's a masterpiece, which is beautifully acted and surprisingly moving.

Cheers, think I will order it. Is there a region 2 version of is this version the best to get?

Edit

Ordered it of ebay for £23.72 which seems a good price for a Criterion disc.

In terms of Blu-ray, there is only the Criterion and a French one, which isn't English friendly, so the Criterion Collection package – which is superb – is your only option.

Indeed.

I rented the DVD from Love Film a few years ago and have been meaning to buy the Criterion BD ever since.

All are good picks.

Berserk! is frankly the best straight up fantasy series ever.

Baccano is like crack.

Another is a fantastic slice of horror with some great deaths.

Slayers is the best humorous fantasy series Japan ever produced and tops even Rune soldier louie another show i'm fond of.

Blue exorcist is not perhaps a bona fide classic like the rest but still worth a watch imo.
