Just been to HMV to get Re-animator and they said they only got one copy in and sold it, and that it's on temporary suspension so can't order it, grrr.

Received my copy of Contraband today. After a brief flick through, it looks really good considering how dark the bulk of it is, although I'll need to watch it all the way through when it is a bit later (and darker) to form a definitive opinion.
bdc, Pete and Demdike@Cult Labs like this.

Haven't seen it since broadcast in '96-'97, and remember little about it - except that I loved it, and was shattered when it was all over after only three seasons. Was treated harshly by the tv network - ridiculous timeslots etc, then, I'm fairly certain the last two episodes were shown out of order.
I remember having to set the vcr to record it each week - you couldn't set a timer because the start time varied so much. F@#k free-to-air commercial tv!
Will post my thoughts as I work my way through it.

A decent set Trebor. Contamination 7 is terrible but i enjoyed the rest, particularly Cellar Dweller.

Had it but sold it, but getting again for cellar dweller and dungeonmaster, agree on contamination, truly awful movie no redeeming qualities at all. And it's a lot cheaper buying this set than getting the uk release of cellar dweller

zavvi have just dispatched if.... which is a bit of a surprise as its not out till next week!(especially considering how they screwed up this weeks releases). with any luck the phibes set will get same treatment

Grimsby, I don't know really, maybe there's something up with it.

Watched it last night and seemed fine to me, would not surprise me if some daily mail reader has taking offence to the artwork
