I would guess about 75% of Italian gialli made in the 1970s will have a bottle or even a crate of J&B on display somewhere. If you watch The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, for example, there is a bottle in in the main character's (Tony Musante) apartment and over half the sets in Strip Nude for Your Killer have a bottle on show or even multiple crates/boxes stacked against the wall!

Funny enough Suzi my in laws bought us a bottle of vodka back from there hols a few weeks ago and the same thing happened to that.
Not a film I've seen Nos, but I see what you mean. I'm not really up on my giallos.

I recently rediscovered it - watched Mysterious Skin on TV and then was looking for other Araki films to watch and the Doom Generation looked cool, then realised I'd seen it a looooong time ago on TV and had completely forgotten about it! This DVD is good because it's the only way to see it in widescreen as far as I'm aware.
