1970s "carry a big stick" action loosely based on a true story, the first one is great with Joe Don Baker, the sequels not so good (different actor) but miles better than the modern re-make.

Dreadful cover for Oculus but it has the 32 minute short and checking around I cannot see any details of this being on the UK release, also its less than £8 on marketplace so worth a punt. A couple more cheapie Criterion discs from a daily check on the listings and another intervision title. :axekiller:

Nice pickups. The UK release of Oculus is barebones so good call :)

Have any of you had any experience of buying from the Cex website? One of my mates swears by it, but he recently reported getting 44 DVDs for £11, so I'm dubious as to the standards he maybe expects from his purchases [emoji23]

The actual quality of the product is down to luck really. I bought a dozen DVDs for about £15 and every disc was in perfect condition, one of the discs was Arrows Demons 2 (50p !) and it came with the comic and everything.

On the other hand, I once bought a Jim Jarmusch set for £15 and it was unplayable and the box was trashed so I returned it. Every item they buy is supposed to be checked, but some dubious items slip through.

Price wise, you'll pick up some real bargains (I've picked up Arrow and Shameless titles for £2 or less) and some items are ridiculously expensive and you'll find them much cheaper elsewhere.

Mixed bag really.
