One slightly OT purchase. I don't game a huge amount, but I love my Vita. Overjoyed that my Scorpion order arrived. Really looking forward to Sorority House Massacre. Reading about the issues with Scorpion's site, it seems a blessing international buyers are restricted to Diabolik. I see Jesse from Diabolik posted a shot on Instagram with Messiah Of Evil in, so I assume they'll be going up this coming week.

Really looking forward to Sorority House Massacre.

I'm not purposely picking on your post Baka.

There seems to have been a fair bit of interest on here recently regarding Sorority House Massacre.

Is it well regarded? I saw it in March this year and felt it was very derivative of Carpenter's Halloween. Am i missing something?

Here's my small review from then.

Sorority House Massacre (1986)

Sleazy eighties slasher with occasional flashes of artistic style and cinematographic flair making the film seem a step above the traditional slasher fayre.

Unfortunately this is counterbalanced by a slightly tepid screenplay which takes an age to develop its central theme and begin dispatching the girls of the sorority house. It's only then that we realize Sorority House Massacre bares more than a passing resemblance to Carpenter's Halloween, though utilizing very little of that film's suspense or scares.

I didn't dislike it at all, in fact i quite enjoyed it, but would only recommend it to slasher completists.

I genuinely couldn't comment as I haven't seen it. But it's one of those films I've heard so much about, but never gotten around to. I hear the plot literally is Halloween, but I've also heard it's one of those fun movies that could only exist in the 80s, which is enough for me to take an interest in it. As a big fan of slasher cinema it's one of an ever decreasing number of slashers I have never seen, so I'm really excited to check it out for that reason mostly.

I'm not expecting it to surpass the likes of House On Sorority Row, or The Initiation, but if it's as entertaining as some of the Slumber Party Massacre sequels I should have fun. My bar is not very high at all, is it? :p

Cheers guys. I see the photo on amazon clearly shows region A on the reverse but as you say that isn't always a guarantee.

Haven't seen Trancers since the 80's, never seen the second one or its other sequels.

Picked these up for £1 each from British heart foundation. For £1 no big loss if they are as awful as twilight.
