Then it might be time to go Blu, just gave Land a quick check and the BD looks sooo much better than the dvd, the detail is great(even in the night scenes things look so much sharper than on dvd) they must have messed up the dvd somewhere in the process as normally a BD doesn't wallop it's dvd counterpart like this one does, when you do go Blu this'll go down nicely.

They have it in my local CEX too and I haven't bought it because I wasn't sure how much better it is than the DVD, so thanks for that, I'll pick it up tomorrow after my final trip to Middle Earth with my eldest :)

I like Stallone's version of Judge Dredd.

So do I. I think its better than the recent remake tbh.

It's a decent sci-fi actioner. Perhaps not really a Dredd film though. ;)

I watched that for the first time a couple of nights back.

I enjoyed it but the constant slo-mo was pointless and frustrating at times.

Its a better representation of the character of Dredd, but i think the Stallone movie is the better film.

I don't.

I thought the dvd was a bland/dingy/dark/soft looking thing(but with nothing to compare it to guessed that's how Romero shot it) but just a quick glance at the first post-credits sequence on BD with it's vivid blue palette and crisp detail make the trip worth it, rips the dvd to bits IMHO.
