I'm glad you bought the original and not the remake with Sylvester Stallone – Mike Hodges' film is gritty, downbeat and utterly compelling, which is easily on a par with The Long Good Friday, if not better.

Audrey Rose is pretty good if you haven't seen it, Dem.

I've never been a fan of the Child Play series, however the films certainly have their fans. Paranorman was okay but nowhere near as good as Coraline (imo). Carrie 2 is abysmal so set your expectations low for that one!

I understand you weren't necessarily after anyone critiquing your purchases but I thought I would anyway!

I picked them all up at a charity shop for a fiver for the four.

Never seen Audrey Rose.

I expect nothing from Paranorman as i thought Coraline was shit anyway. I think Rik liked Paranorman so thought i'd give it a go.

I've never seen any of the earlier Child's Play films. My starting point was Bride of Chucky, which i enjoyed, it's sequel which i didn't and Curse of Chucky which i thought excellent.

Oddly enough i've only seen Carrie 2 once but still own the vhs. I remember enjoying it to be honest.

Default What Have You Bought Recently?

I saw it at the cinema with my kids and loved it, so I bought it on Blu ray soon after and have watched it a couple of times. I prefer it to Coraline tbh
