It helps if you have an interest in football though...or sport in general. | I have no interest in football and thought it was excellent (I think Mark Kermode said something similar in his review) as, at its heart, it's a film about a relationship between Brian Clough and Peter Taylor (Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall, respectively) and Clough's rivalry with Don Revie.
About Brian Clough, I had no idea who any of these people were one I watched it and, to be honest, it doesn't matter whether you do or don't as my dad lived through the period and also thought it was brilliant. |
