I really liked Oculus, even on second viewing, but The Babadook is a better film IMO. They are both two of the best horror films of this young century and a welcome change from sequels or remakes.

I suspect the Babadook may be a better film. It has more layers to it. I just enjoyed Oculus more. I think I'm just one of those rare birds that wasn't as blown away as I think I was supposed to be. Going to get that lovely looking US edition and give it another spin however.

I would agree that the Babadook has more layers but after watching Oculus I thought that was a very good film aswell but The Babadook is very slightly better.

Preordered Sister of Ursula from Shameless this morning. It says on the site that it's in stock, does anyone know if they ship before the release date? I think the last time I preordered from them they didn't. But I can't remember.

I loved The Boxtrolls when I saw it at the cinema and really want to buy it on Blu-ray.

It's the only one out of the four I haven't seen, but I loved Paranorman and Coraline, as does my daughter, looking forward to watching it with her.
