Default A few pick ups from a few weeks.

I have a ew film's i managed to snag in the past few weeks, i really want the Eureka dvd release of Judex + Nuits Rouges, i couln't find it in fopp so i settled for anther film i have wanted to watch for ages, the passion of joan of arc.

Deadly Spawn was from PaulD, it's a great film and he sold it to me for super cheap, Frailty arrived today and it's the USA release so it has some additional extras.

I am a big fan the Aardman animations and watched Shaun the Sheep earlier in the year and loved it hence the purchase of the steelbook.

Today in the post i received the Ex-Machina steel book from Zavvi which has come recommended from many of my friends and i also picked up a few cheap 69p discs from cash generators.

Does it have anything new which isn't on an existing Blu-ray release?

Its a new remaster for a start Nos. Plus a 36 page booklet.
Then its got a brand new 30 minute documentary. Plus a doc on the genre in general that is close to 2 hours in length thats not on my 2 disc dvd but i couldn't say whether its on the previous blu ray. There's also 4 old WB cartoons but again i don't know if they are on the old blu or not. I'm upgrading from dvd so for me it's a no brainer.

If it is the Public Enemies: The Golden Age of the Gangster Film documentary, that's on the Warner Brothers 20th Anniversary Edition along with the four cartoons, two commentaries and three other featurettes. I'm not sure if there is a difference in the transfer but, if there is, and the one you have bought is better, I'll probably buy it.

It sounds like the only difference is the new doc Scorcese's Goodfellas and the booklet then Nos. And potentially the transfer which is supposed to be a brand new 4k scan. Looks pretty good to me but as i say I'm upgrading from Warners old 2 disc dvd from 2004 so it was an obvious choice.

Is the booklet different from the one which makes up the digibook?
