Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer Steelbook from Zavvi.
An apparent classic that I've never actually watched. Figured it was about time to catch up.

prepare to be scared, Michael Rooker is terrifyingly accurate as a serial killer with no empathy whatsoever, he should have been nominated if the craft of acting was what mattered and not the content of the film.

Just ordered Re-Animator Steelbook from Zavvi for £9.99 thanks to Edgeworth.

Been up in Far North Tropical Queensland for a holiday sunbaking and drinking essentially, so haven't posted here much. However, I can post a quick update on what I've gotten from the Arrow Sale now that's it's nearly finished, and should eventually post pics of all my recent pick ups when I get back.

Picked up at first,
Rabid Steelbook
The Killing
Comedy of Terror

There were a lot less titles I needed than expected, as for some reason Arrow decided to change the system they used to use which determines what is in sales. So, after making $50 confronting unsuspecting phone thieves, I went back and got two DVDs which were the only two cheaper than amazon, and I needed to fill gaps in my collection

Pervert
Bare Behind Bars
(I've heard this is cut though, but can't find a guide or anything describing to what extent)

Using all my bonus points acquired from these and previous purchases I then preordered Videodrome this morning for a nice £12 :)

Also as a nice little bonus, the ice cream/DVD rental shop is now just ice cream and tourism services, so they had a nice table of $2 ex rentals, from which I got Blue Sunshine, which I've been dying to see for years and just couldn't find.

It's cut by 1 min 35 sec. Unsimulated sexual activity.

Ah, doesn't sound like too much of a loss then. But I seriously don't get the BBFC, didn't Caligula get passed uncut with numerous hardcore scenes just the same year? Maybe it has something to do with context

Sorry i should have clarified.

It was Arrow themselves who cut it prior to submission.

The full uncut version of Bare Behind Bars is a far sleazier affair than Caligula which for all it's sordid reputation is actually a polished production with classy Brit thespians.

Penthouse mogul Bob Guccione produced the film but it's still basically high class porn. BBB has never seen anything resembling high class.

Ahh ok, that makes sense, a similar situation to Score I'm guessing, as they had an R18 offered to them. In the end I guess it is all about context, same reason why here in Australia, art house films can get away with far more than horror movies can.

For all the flack it cops, I actually quite liked Caligula, even if the hardcore scenes felt quite jarring and out of place in my opinion

I ordered Ninja 3 (German BD), Spirited Away BD and John Waters' Female Trouble DVD this weekend, still trying not to spend money but this forum makes me buy so much stuff, I'm so easily led...

If Ninja 3 is the old open matte version I'll send it back and order the US disk since it's been confirmed as region free :) Thanks guys.
