I watched the Severin Blu yesterday, I'd forgot how cheesy it is, great fun though and it looks great in HD (besides the poor quality inserts in some of the deaths) :nod:

I got that last year K. It's a pretty good set. I enjoyed all three films. The first one is all neon lit LA. Almost felt like a precursor to Drive or Nightcrawler.

These arrived from Amazon.it. :)
Some good deals to be had there at the moment (unfortunately shipping is not free).

Everything is English friendly except Il Diavolo A Sette Facce (The Devil Has Seven Faces : Italian only) and Il Sangue E La Rosa (Blood and Roses : Italian and French --> if you need English subs get the German disc ;) )

[edit] Caution with the Italian Raro disc of Milano Rovente, seems there were early cases reported of defective discs (ending is missing)...will have to check if mine is a replacement (let's hope so). UPDATE seems Amazon.it has the new replacement discs but will check to be certain. ;)

Picke that up a few weeks ago but haven't got around to watching them . Seen them years ago but I can't remember anything about them

I just checked out some lone reviews on the www about this disc btw.

Here are my personal findings.

Pro's:
Nice alternative artwork on the cover
Nice reverse cover
Licensed materials from Hollywood Classics (representing MGM),original seemingly untouched HD (tv) master,the same apparently used for all blus btw.
Region free
Cheap

Con's:
Dolby Digital Stereo English audio only (thunderous bass should be original though and the audio certainly sounds very theatre-like)
1080i 25p (normal for a HD tv master I guess) so maybe problematic for some US bd-players.
Almost no extras

Overall I'm happy with it so far. :)
