It is an arty slice of American rural gothic, with a nasty undertow. The Passion of Darkly Noon by the same director is worth checking out too. I wasn't too keen on his last one, Heatless even though I found it interesting.

Freaky strange film if I remember correctly - is that the one with the exploding frog ?

Can anyone tell me if they ever heard of a film with Helen hunt called the frog prince I need to find out if it ever got a DVD release info is hard to come by and so far I have only found one VHS online.

I remember it being one of the Cannon movie productions of the 80's based on fairytales and as far as i know they have only been released on vhs by Warner Home Video and also were aired on Sky movies in the 90's.

There is a German dvd on Amazon.de. It's not cheap, €69,99!
