I saw it last year. I flat out loved it. Even my dad, who's not into these type of films, had a blast with it.

Seriously, the ending is one the most joyful middle fingers to Christmas commercialisation ever.

I have Silent Night, Deadly Night and Christmas Evil on the way too. I never seen those films, even though I saw the second Silent Night, Deadly Night film. "Garbage day!", indeed.

SN,DN is really good in my opinion. I've never seen Christmas Evil.

I have no new Christmas themed films to watch this year. Last year i saw the remake Silent Night which i think was okay, i just can't remember, and Don't Open Till Christmas which was magnificent - a bloody kill every seven minutes i think it was.

I usually rewatch the regulars (Die Hard, The Ref, Christmas Vacation, etc) but I thought I could do with Christmas horror that wasn't just Gremlins again.

I'll probably save Don't Open Till Christmas until next year. Cheers.

Have you seen Sint? The Christmas horror from Dick Maas the director of Amsterdamned?

That's highly recommended and you can probably get the dvd for the price of postage second hand.

I'd also recommend Santa's Slay which is daft, gory and a lot of fun.

I presume you've seen the fantastic Troll Hunter. It's not really a Christmas film but it feels like one.

Troll Hunter [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: Knut Nærum, Otto Jespersen, Hans Morten Hansen, Johanna Morck, Tomas Alf Larsen, Robert Stoltenberg, Glenn Erland Tosterud, Andre Ovredal: DVD & Blu-ray

I have Vinegar Syndrome's Blu of Christmas Evil set aside for this year. I also usually watch Black Christmas but apart from that I don't really do much Xmas themed viewing in December.

I also concur with Dem on Don't Open Till Christmas - a great little Xmas horror which I may have to revisit myself this year having not seen it for a good few years.

Haven't seen Sint yet or Troll Hunter (but I have a copy laying about somewhere) but I have ordered Santa's Slay.

Krampus, from the director of Trick 'r Treat might be a fun film as well.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I can't wait for next Friday. December 4th. The tree will go up as i'm off until January 4th.

I also have forty horrors saved throughout the year, both old and new, which i've never seen before plus seven Network series like Into the Labyrinth and Mystery and Imagination. I'm really looking forward to the month. I've had some of those series waiting from last January.

You're welcome.

Get yourself a copy of Sint. You really won't regret it.
