Agreed.

I've said before that it gets better the more i watch it.

I also liked The Ward, definitely Starman, and found Village of the Damned very watchable as well.

As for Escape from LA. I just can't get into it. A sequel to a film that didn't need one, especially one that's a shambolic rehash of the superior original.

It's a film that plays so much better when played thru a surround system, much like Vampires, much better with that thumping soundtrack banging away.(even on TV thru Dolby PL2)

Picked up these Japanese 3disk 26 episode box sets from a local charity shop for only £2 each:xmasnuts:, Gungrave has much nicer artwork but can't find a pic.

Bargain. Especially gungrave which I consider a masterpiece. Its a prequel to the videogames which is like a 26 episode crime saga like the godfather, scarface ect. Really well written.

Before anyone asks I already own all the good John Carpenter films. This is filling in some gaps.

i like escape but the rest are awful, sadly i know the compulsion of been a completist all too well :santanukem:
