Refn must get all his leading actors to read that book, ala method acting.

I really like the first one, think its quite underrated. Second one's a bit dull though. Like most video game adaptations they don't really resemble the games. Not to me anyway.

Got 2 more Japanese Anime sets for £2 each(last that the shop had, sadly) these are 2disc sets, both shows date from mid 90s, Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure I'd only known as a obscure video game, Captain Herlock is a 13 part OVA.

(these Japanese editions do have English subs but they're done in Japan so not quite right... "Your direction is not the fault of my knowledge" and the like, and no English dub but that's part of their charm)

Jojos bizarre adventure is awesome. One of the most fun and bonkers animes I've seen in years

Ordered from the Arrow sale:

I'm by no means a western fan but have heard Cemetery Without Crosses being likened to a 'Noir-Western' on more than one occasion so thought it was worth a punt. The Koyaanisqatsi / Powaqqatsi set is a blind buy too but I've heard good things and the LE set is OOP and starting to sell for silly money elsewhere so decided to pounce on it now rather than potentially regretting it later.
