 I didn't rate Porkys one bit, so perhaps i'm not the one to discuss this with.

Animal House is a lot better than Porkys. Of course it's crude and childish, although nowhere near as crude as Porkys, it's part of its charm. It's a comedy template, an absolute classic.

I don't care for Porkys either.

Animal House is better, but I don't really rate that much either to be honest.

I agree. I prefer the American Pie films to both of them.

I'll shut the door on the way out.

They're all part of the same crummy little cinematic universe to me ;)

However, my tastes are very particular when it comes to comedy so I can't really get too involved in these kind of discussions. I can safely say that teen comedies generally sit ill with me irrelevant of when they're from, who is in them, or what they're about though.

You can leave by the door whilst I'll just disappear down my trap-door of despair. :makelikeatree:

The problem I have with Animal House is I was a big Belushi fan from his debut on Saturday Night Live so when we went to see Animal House his Bluto character was just sooo annoying it tarnished it for me, looking back the film has quite a cast and John Landis at the helm so it has a magic to it so I'll give it a go again soon.

I'd best come with you. I like Porkys but the American Pie films are better. First 3 anyway. Reunion's rubbish.

Okay...lets go down the pub.

We'll put that huge book case over the trap door as we leave. ;)
