I've already got the US one but even if the transfer is the same this has much better (and sturdier) packaging and for $7 brand new! I'm afraid I couldn't resist for one of my all-time favourite films. :)

I totally concur and want one cough.

Wanted a crappy cheapo blu from £land to make it to 30, so in I went. Splice!! The Karate Kid (JC one)!! Maximum Conviction!! but.......hidden behind all of these was Troll Hunter (w/lenticular sleeve!)

Also picked up Against the Dark (Seagal vs vampires. If it lives up to the trailer I saw moons ago haha) £1 fae CG and JCVD (2discer!) 29p from Barnardos!!

Result ahem.

You were ripped off with JCVD.

Picked up the BFI release of The Firm from HMV, Arrows Bound and The Incredible Melting man from CEX and Haywire from Poundland.

Some cheap tat (and Badge of Fury:lol::lol:) from Poundland on BD.
(a guilty pleasure I know but STM has a 'so bad it's good' vibe, luckily as it's pretty bad CGI wise too)

Ordered from HMV:

After much thought, I decided to cancel my pre-order for the BFI's Alan Clarke set. No doubt it is an impressive set, but I just couldn't justify the expense of £110 vs. the re-watchabilty factor. Aside from The Firm, Penda's Fen and perhaps the TV cut of Scum I couldn't see myself dipping in to it all that often, so decided to cancel it and order Penda's Fen separately, which is a a favourite of mine - I'll probably pick up the stand-alone release of The Firm at a later date.

Cheers to Dem for the heads-up on the FF album too. :bananarock:

Pre-ordered from Diabolik:

Any idea what time of year Penda's Fen is set, B_E?

it ain't going to drop in price this year so if it's set around the harvest time i'll wait and watch it then, otherwise it'll be next weekend.

Spring time (I think). Admittedly, it's hard to tell from the washed out version I've been used to on Youtube. It deals with sexual awakening and the like, so I've always just assumed Spring = new life/birth/awakening connection.

Yes, that's a decent assumption. I'll watch it next weekend.

I can't leave everything until December. Besides summer films really don't fit as i realized when i watched Robin Redbreast last Christmas.
