The only thing wrong with High Rise on blu-ray, is the same thing wrong with every blu-ray Studiocanal releases, their insistance on 2.0 LPCM audio as the default track on their discs. It seriously takes the piss.

The blu I got has "art cards" too and a black case, if that sort of thing floats your boat.

Does it have a surround track on it? 9 times out of 10 i'm watching on the telly in the bedroom but occasionally I will actually watch through the amp.

It also has a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track, but you have to select it with the remote or through the menu. I found the same with their release of Non-Stop (and all their releases are like this, apparently). If it's available, they should always default to the mix they were recorded in. Someone needs to have a quiet word with Studiocanal.

My Scream Factory ROTLD turned up today also. It's a pity they weren't able to licence The Damned's song Dead Beat Dance (which is why I'll hold onto the Second Sight disc), but this release blows it out of the water by adding new extras and a new 2K scan of the film.

As someone who cares little to nothing about extras 99% of the time, would you say that the transfer was a massive step up over the SS disc (which I thought looked very good), Stephen?

Today's pickups ... 'Tortured' was from Poundland and the Italian DVD of 'Enter the Void' was 50p in a charity shop
