Just to clarify, while I'm not a huge fan I don't dislike Dr.Who, but it'd not a show I've ever associated with quality performances. I thought hammy cheesy amateurish acting was part of the deal?

Honestly i'm not i think he's brilliant. Seen him live three times.

He was in a Sylvester McCoy story and was panned by fans but i think it was inspired casting as he was playing an entertainer anyway. Doctor Who fans were idiots back then.

Ken Dodd appeared in 'Delta And The Bannermen', which is disposable. Nicholas Parsons appeared in 'The Curse Of Fenric', which is one of the all time great stories in the shows history. He has also appeared with Rik and Ade in 'Mr Jolly Lives Next Door' and has played the narrator in 'Rocky Horror'



Not taking anything away from Mr. Dodd, but Mr. Parsons is a national treasure
