It's a genuine enquiry. I quite liked the remake, even though I much prefer the 1984 movie because it actually revolves around karate and not kung fu!

Well, it's the 1984 one, I went to see it at the cinema as a 7 year old so it has a special place to me along with films like Back to the Future and Teen Wolf.

That's what I suspected. However, I thought it might be a case where you already have the 1984 one and bought the remake on a whim because it was cheap.
