Thanks, they only revised the standard edition though didn't they? Although if you have a spare special edition one I'd be over the moon to have it

I've only seen Grave of the Fireflies from that lot but thought it was pretty awful to be honest... I don't think these Ghibli cartoons are for me.

Yes, it is for the standard edition but you can have it. I contacted Studio Canal last year to get replacements after finding out about some titles being issued with the wrong spine numbers and ended up being sent two lots. If you pm me your address i will get it posted this weekend.

I have 'Spirited Away' and 'Pom Poko' - that one is about raccoons!

As requested by Nos, I've attached a photo of the entire collection. I have the special editions of all of those which had one, and Nausicaa has never had a slip cover! You'll also notice that Studio Canal decided that Optimum was no longer a label midway through the collection. You may also notice that Arrietty has the wrong spine number, this was never rectified, you may also notice that Marnie has no spine number. The product was recalled because the discs wouldn't play and when they re-issued it 3-4 weeks later the artwork had been altered.

I have Ocean Waves which has never been released on BD and The Little Norse Prince which is not really part of the collection but is made by Takahata before Ghibli existed. I also have 2 documentary films about the making of various films.
Frustrating, but I'll probably have to complete the collection in order to upgrade from DVD to Blu-ray and have the entire run.

Always been annoying to me that my favourite Ghibli film is the only Blu-ray without a slipcase, though it has more to do with my OCD than anything.

The whole collection is frustrating in its little differences. I can't understand how so many things can be different in the designs from disc to disc it's baffling. However, I'm happy to have them all now. I'm hoping that Ocean Waves gets a release in HD after its theatrical run in America this spring.
