This is important because when the film moves to Australia (Tasmania) and follows his research into where he came from, whether what he's doing is morally right, and the incongruence caused by being someone who doesn't know where to call 'home' only has an emotional impact because of what you saw of him as a child.

Jackie is remarkable for Natalie Portman's tour de force performance and the extraordinary cinematography and score. It is something I would like to watch again at the cinema but will probably not be able to because there are so many good films coming out and so little time in which to watch them.

Both are well worth watching and there isn't a bad option.
Thanks Nos, I think I will be seeing both by the weekend so it's just a matter of which one I fancy tomorrow afternoon.
We're being spoiled this Oscar season, there is about 5-6 films out at the moment or in the next few weeks that I'm really interested in seeing, as opposed to December when there was only a couple. Really looking forwarded to Fences and Hidden Figures too.

I've seen the trailers for Fences and Hidden Figures at the cinema recently (along with films like Gold, Loving, and Denial) and I'm looking forward to watching both. It is strange that winter brings out the 'serious' and best made films of the year, with those which will appeal to families and/or the largest number of adults released in the summer.

Jackie is probably the most intense of the two, with Lion easily the most emotional.

Pre-ordered a double-dose of Korean goodness. Deffered the delivery until the second comes out as my budget is blown for this month.

I really need to pick up a few of these Indicator releases. Just hope they don't sell out before I can afford them.

All of them seem to end up in HMV's 2 for £25 just after release. The cheapest way to buy them (at least thus far).

If you don't care about the Criterion style Scanavo case, the booklet or the DVD then these (or at least the ones Powerhouse seem worthy of re-releasing anyway) are supposed to be getting trimmed down versions once the limited runs sell through, which should by definition be cheaper and less limited.
