This weeks new arrivals.

I enjoyed Cool it Carol.

Surprised you didn't already own The Ark in Space, Dem. I think it was the first Doctor Who story that I watched and I used to own the VHS many years ago.

It was the only 'Doctor Who' story my mum banned me from watching when it was first shown

Being extremely arachnophobic, 'Planet Of The Spiders' really affected me, and at the end of the first episode of 'The Ark In Space', when the Wirrn falls out of the cupboard, we thought the 8-legged buggers had returned, so that was it for the next three weeks!

I do. I just needed the 2 disc special edition to replace the original release and finally make me happy with my Doctor Who dvd collection. :D

This weeks arrivals, including Switchblade Sisters and The House That Screamed, which turned up yesterday.

Got The Burning today at HMV along with Short Night of Glass Dolls which is a blind buy, but in the mood for a giallo tonight and heard it is good.

Do you guys agree?

I do. It's not a great giallo (that might change with repeated viewings in different languages though), but it is very well constructed and executed.

Won Amazon vouchers at work so went a little crazy. Aside from flesh & blood and the american titles most of these came from music magpie so ended up being very cheap....

Currently at £9.99 for pre-order at Amazon.

Ordered Tremors on blu-ray (which apparently looks pretty darn rough but is better than dvd). Also ordered the excellent Wolfen which is available on a region friendly American blu-ray and has received highly favourable reviews.
